One interesting point from that blog: going long only when the market’s in a confirmed bull trend, the point being that a bull market takes 75 percent of all stocks up.

Yep, the “M” in CANSLIM is critical. It’s the same thing as the old saying “A rising tide lifts all boats”. O’Neil’s book was extremely eye-opening for me. I need to write a review of it, and all the other books on my list real soon.

Yes CANSLIM was a big influence on my life when i read it years ago. I actually made money using that method and the IBD ratings. Smart man.
