Watchlist for October 18, 2004

There are a few longs on the list today but I probably won't take any of them. This week marks the first week of heavy earnings reports for the quarter. Those that have been reading the site for a while know that I usually take this and the next week off because I find these weeks to be too unpredictable and/or choppy. I don't know if I'll stay out for the entire two weeks but I am going to wait a couple of days before jumping back into the fray. And when I do, as usual, any stock with an eminent earnings report will be off limits.

Part of what I'll be doing over the next couple of days is getting better organized -- both in trading and in my life in general. I recently came across an excellent book on increasing productivity and getting into 'the zone' called 'Getting Things Done' and I'll be implementing its concepts starting today. I've written a little bit about that on my other blog if you're interested. Maybe now I'll finally get around to finishing my Trading 101 series...
