I'm seeing a lot more short candidates than I have in a while. I may try one or two if they trigger but I don't want to press my luck in this dull market.
I hope some of you caught that moon shot in TAYD yesterday.
Currently holding:
Long - ADBE, CME, DVA, EYET, THQI
Short - None
Looking for swing trade entries in:
Longs - STK

Gapping Down
SIRI -3.3% (BofA reiterates Sell rating; firm says too much hype and expectations on Stern, risks to a capital raise), HLYW -1.8% (BBI to launch tender offer for co stock below current stock price), SNDK -1.6% (Smith Barney reiterates their cautious stance), TEVA -1.4%.
Gapping Up
Earthquake/tsunami plays add to huge gains yesterday: CLWT +38%, SDIX +13%, BTHS +11%, TAYD +7.6%, NGRU +5.3%.... NYER +15% (hearing chatter this is a tsunami play as a medical supply co; connection seems like a stretch to us), IMGN +11% (forms partnership with J&J's Centocor), SWFT +8.4% (guides higher), WGAT +6.2% (momentum from 50% move over last 2 sessions), AMZN +3.8% (Bear Stearns upgrade), LEXR +3.5% (expands sales channels in China), TZOO +1.7% (momentum from 10 pt move yesterday)... Stem Cell stocks continue recent momentum: STEM +4%, ASTM +5.2%.

Hmmm...Sitting here at 10: AM (EST) it appears that holding off on those Shorts might be a good thing..."consumer confidence surges to 102.3"...unless something else brings the market down, that just might keep the bulls running all day.
Once again it just goes to show that Fundamentals really DO drive the market. ;-) :-P
Agreed, which is why I only enter if they trigger.
As for the fundies... I agree in the long term, but in the short term we could argue that forever.
Hehehe...yeah, I was just kidding around about the Fundamentals...I use them mostly for Shorting (and some "problematic" Longs), but I'm a technician to the end...or at least as long as I'm making money. ;-)
I'm glad to thear that you're a member of the Dark Side! :-)
Thanks for placing such a wonderful blog on web
