Word around the blogosphere is that BlogLines has been acquired by Ask Jeeves (ASKJ). If the rumor is true I’ve got two things to say:

  1. I knew it! I’ve written before that I could see Bloglines as an attractive acquisition for either Google or Yahoo, but I never considered Ask Jeeves.
  2. Like others have said — I hope they don’t jack up Bloglines’ service. Just in case, I just saved my list of feeds to an OPML file. :-)

I wonder who will be next, del.icio.us or Technorati? Speaking of Technorati, you can use it to see what people are saying about this deal.
