Watchlist for February 11, 2005

The list has swung from a preponderance of shorts to longs today thanks to all of the hammers made yesterday. The market is still very choppy though, so I don't want to get too aggressive just yet.

Oh yeah, FWIW, the SOX closed 2 points higher yesterday, just enough to climb back over its 200-day moving average. It's almost like it just wants to rest on the 200...

Currently holding:

Long - URBN

Short - none

Looking for swing trade entries in:

Longs - ADBE, CTMI, CVC, ERTS, FEIC, HOTT, THQI, WITS

"TASR -3.5% (Man dies in Chicago after police use Taser)"

I didn't hear about a man dying, but two days ago a 14-yr old boy went into cardiac arrest after police in Chicago shot him with a Taser. You might wonder why police would shoot a 14-yr old boy with a Taser. Well, apparently this 14-yr old is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. Yikes! That a big boy. He attacked some people at a group home where he lives and lunged at the police when they showed up. Obviously, this is no ordinary boy.

If he went into cardiac arrest they should have just turned down the impulse on the taser gun and shot him again. It is effective at restarting the heart.

That's just wrong! :-)
