Watchlist for September 12, 2005

I see that BIDU is gapping up about 5% today. It's now back over $100 and I think that analysts (their underwriters) should start initiating coverage this week. I'm also shocked to see that there are plenty of shares of it to borrow/short. I'm going to be watching this puppy real close. We could either get a serious short squeeze from here or it could tank if those underwriters say the 'wrong' thing...

Potential swing trades:

Longs - None

Shorts - None

Intraday Updates:

  • 09:41 NTGR's on fire after getting a $29 price target from Hambrecht today

  • 09:44 ADBE and NTSE are showing strength early

  • 09:49 AMGN, ERTS, SNDA and SOHU aall have my attention after popping up on Trade-Ideas

  • 09:59 Adding AQNT and SGTL to the watchlist. Let's see if any of these pullback...

  • 10:04 CELG is surging

  • 10:09 Nice follow-through (so far) on AMTD today

  • 10:17 I think this pullback in the indices may not be buyable. The A/D line is still negative so I may wait until the 10:00 high is broken before buying anything.

  • 10:28 Wow, REDF is up 15%

  • 10:31 I'm seeing some decent looking long setups but I don't like the general market tone. Dow, S&P and the SOX are negative and that A/D is still negative as well. So I wait...

  • 11:25 Well the tone's gotten a little bit better but I still don't trust it. I did pick up a few longs though...

  • 11:49 ANSI's catching fire
