Watchlist for October 4, 2006

Note: We had to move my site to a different server last night so you may see some strange behaviour (blank pages) on the site for a while today. For me, hitting refresh on my browser fixes the problem of blank pages. Also, I think there are some comments that got posted and lost while the move was being done. I'll try to repost those comments once everything is stable again.

We've got a little bit of weakness thos morning. Wal-Mart, a Dow component, is down 2.5% so that will likely put a damper on the new-high party. Perhaps I won't throw my bear costume in the closet just yet...

On Today's Calendar:

  • 10:00 AM -- Factory Orders
  • 10:00 AM -- ISM Services
  • 10:30 AM -- Crude Inventories

More Calendars: U.S. Earnings | Conf. Calls | Surprises | IPO | Economic

Quoted

"If you really think the stock is going to make a big move - and that should be the only reason you are buying the stock to begin with - then there is no reason to haggle over an eighth of a point. Just buy the stock. The same thing applies to the downside; if you think the stock is going to drop, just sell it." ~ David Ryan
