Jim Cramer Parody & CNBC on Blogging Again
By Michael on Nov 16, 2006 in Blogging, Stock Market
First, I hope you all got a chance to watch today’s WallStrip video which is a parody of Jim Cramer:
Some of the folks at CNBC enjoyed it, specifically whoever’s running their “On the Money” blog. Here’s what they had to say today:
This is a Riot! Cramer as Dr. Phil!It is so good, but, thanks to Bill Gates and Steve Ballmer- I can’t post the video player here. No, that would make too much sense for Mr. Softie to allow people to blog like grown ups, no they have an html blocker- here’s what they say: Some HTML tags may be removed from your entry for security and formatting reasons.
Riiiiiight.. what a joke- anyway I can’t wait to get our blog on the new CNBC.com next month- let’s hope that is better.
Anyway- this thing with Cramer is a riot- so follow this link- and you’ll be able to see it. When I showed it to Jim today- he was crying with laughter.
I find that post to be quite ironic. First, if you recall, CNBC was really hating on blogs back in 2005. but now it seems that all of their shows have blogs. Secondly, I’ve never understood why CNBC got “in bed” with Microsoft for their website. Using “cnbc.msn.com” or whatever their URL is never made ANY sense to me. Now they’re apparently reversing course and heading back to “cnbc.com”… like those Guinness beer commercials would say “Brilliant!”
Hopefully their “new & improved” web site will allow people to actually post comments without having to sign in via some Microsoft tool like their current blogs do.

Definitely a “riot”!
Is there a ticker symbol for Wallstrip yet?
