Interview with James "Rev Shark" DePorre

| 10 Comments | 2 TrackBacks

Be sure to watch today's WallStrip chat with none other than James "RevShark" DePorre. You may know him from TheStreet.com / RealMoney or from his own site, Shark Investing. If you're unfamiliar with him, he's got a great story. In short, he lost his hearing and had to quit his job as an attorney but later found great success as a trader.

Hello Mike,

I first want to say I read your blog every day and it's wonderful, keep up the good work. I'm a new interday trader and I'm looking for a direct access broker. Are you still using cybertrader and if so how do you like it or would you recommend another?

Thanks, Dan

Thanks Dan.

Yes, I've been with CyberTrader since 1999 and I certainly recommend them. You can click the banner just above to get 35 free trades with a new account. I've writen about CyberTrader in the past which should give you a good and fair idea of what i think about them

Mike,

Thanks for that link to the interview. I'd never seen that site before. I guess I'm a little late to the game!

I put up a link to your site and to wallstrip on my blog as well.

I'm glad you like WallStrip.

Wow.......!!!

I need to see that type of thing every now and then. When I start feeling sorry for myself becuase I lost an "R" or two, I need to see guys like Rev Shark. From losing your hearing, your career, your wife, and most of your life, to becoming a successful trader (and more importantly a happy person). It puts my "troubles" in perspective, makes me grateful for what I have, and inspires me to work even harder.

Thanks Mike.

well said ADD Trader

the essence of wallstrip and thats why the rev interview is cool.

glad you all liked it

great interview with Rev. Shark

he probably has one of the most interesting stories in the online trading generation

Mike, these interviews that show up on WallStrip are gonna turn out to be like Inside The Actors Studio on Bravo TV.

See if you can get Stevie Cohen...he's like the Jack Nicholson of Wall St....neither one will do TV interviews, right? Haha.

You should poll the wall Strip readers/viewers to see who they'd like to see sit down for an interview.

(...and what's the interviewer's name again? She's gonna turn out to be the Mary Hart of Wall Strip.)

Thanks for the great idea One Way Stox.

The interviewer is Lindsay Campbell

This man has the attitude of a winner.
The way he views the market is very similar to my own view, plus he has a great trading room!!
