Here's a shot of the QQQQ daily chart sowing it stuck for the moment between gap support and resistance from its declining 50-day moving average. In a normal market (less volatile) I'd be doubtful that it had enough steam to make it through the 50 DMA without a pullback. In this market, who knows...

Note: I can't post the gappers any more. I'm trying to find another way to post the early movers, hopefully via a live scan. Stay tuned...

Where is Mike's watchlist?
Mike,
Stopping in to say thanks for your efforts. I haven't posted, but I make sure to stop by on a regular basis. Was hoping if you would care to update or comment on your trading hardware theses days? The most important components for my trading have been the processor, memory, graphics card, windows xp, better than average components that make up the motherboard. I'm in the process of upgading from the intel's dual core processors (which have been fantastic) to the quad processor line. I haven't received very good feedback from esignal which is why I ask (perhaps there are others out there who would like to weigh in). The opinions I value most will come from professional day traders in any case. Hey, thanks again, John
John,
I think any modern CPU will handle trading systems with no problems. About a year ago I picked up one of those small footprint Shuttle XPCs for my desktop, which runs my charting package. I put my old Matrox Quad graphics card in that box. I also use a MacBook Pro (booted into Windoze XP) to run my trading system and Trade-Ideas.
I switched from eSignal to QuoteTracker last year. It's pretty much the same functionality for a fraction of the cost. I get the data from IQFeed (http://www.iqfeed.net/quotetracker/) but there are other options for data as well. (See QuoteTracker for details on data feeds)
Great blog. I just found you through Technorati and I'll subscribe right now.
Good luck in these crazy markets!
