Free Hosting and Movable Type Install By michael | October 20th, 2003

The BlogSpot Jihad continues. Kevin, over at WizBang, has gathered a group of volunteers to install & set-up Movable Type for people wishing to take advantage of 1&1’s free 3 years of hosting deal. (That deal seemed too good to be true to me when I first heard about it, but it appears to be legit.)

Update: Sh*t, now that I think about it I might have to make the switch to 1and1 my damn self. They’re giving 10 times my current disk space and 2 1/2 times the bandwidth… for free. I’m gone! :-)

    Man, this is really too good to be true. I read the terms and conditions and I can’t find anything shady. My only concern is this- what if this non-money making company goes belly up in 6 months? I’ll have to back up my files every day just to make sure I don’t lose any blog posts.

    I think they’re pretty established in the UK… I signed up and am quite happy so far. Their admin tool is a bit slow and not the most intuitive, though.
