The Apprentice on Friendster | An interesting partnership, although somehow I doubt it will be very interactive. We'll see. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to the new season of 'The Apprentice'. And the Donald sure knows how to pick women who are easy on the eyes. :-)

Hip Hop's Gender Problem | Recently there's been a lot of talk about the problems with how women are represented in hip hop, but very little about where the influences for these images and ideas come from. Perhaps we should be looking at the influences instead of the performers themselves.

Deadwood's Best Lines | I can't believe that 'Now that's how you scrub a fucking blood stain' didn't make the list!
The Leftover | If you like the Daily Show or the Onion, check out The Leftover. From their about page:
The Leftover was created by a group of young social activists who are committed to the fight against economic, political, and social oppression (lofty ambition, eh?). Our founding group is made up of people of color, women, immigrant, queer, and working class people. We believe that humor and satire are essential tools in the struggle for justice. More importantly for us, though, is to connect political humor to the concrete changes happening on the streets- this is why we have action alerts at the end of articles, feature interviews with grassroots organizers, and maintain a calendar of progressive events and actions that you can take part in. We are also low in carbs and fat free.
PLEASE, READ IT! Do not make us get normal jobs. Some of us get nosebleeds if we sit in a cubicle for too long.
Oh, by the way, if you didn't already know, most of the stuff on this website is SATIRE and REALLY NOT REAL. So don't cite us in your thesis.
The Real History of The Source - Part One | Jay Smooth breaks down who the real founders of The Source Magazine were -- no Benzino involved. I can't wait for part 2.

Finding Bin Laden Video | George Bush, Colin Powell and Osama bin Laden grab starring roles in the new short film "Finding Bin Laden," by People Under The Stairs (PUTS).
Ok, it's not really them, but animated versions of these world power players populate a hilarious clip created to promote PUTS' upcoming album O.S.T. The video finds true school enthusiasts Thes One and Double K accepting a mission from Bush to locate the notorious Bin Laden, who's hoping to infiltrate American airwaves through wack rap beats

Another Law & Order Spin-Off? | I'm a fan of The Law & Order franchise, but I have to say 'No Más!' SVU was cool for a while, but it's getting depressing. Criminal Intent is just hard to believe with Mr. Super Genius Detective, yet I still watch it for some strange reason. Do we really need another L&O show???

KRS-ONE & Mad Lion Team Up | This should be good. I always liked KRS' reggae influenced joints. Also has tracks with Barrington Levy and Born Jamericans
Trailer for 'The Rundown' | Looks like it'll be good, except for the limited screen time that Rosario Dawson gets. Starring the Rock, Seann William Scott and Christopher Walken.

Jin, the Rapper Who Happens to be Asian | Comments (1)
| Eric makes some excellent points. I wonder if Jin will get hated on nearly as much Eminem. One thing's for sure, he proved himself on all the Freestyle Friday battles he won hands down.
