The H Magazine | Havana, Cuba is one of the most exciting places on earth. Its past, present and future are enigmatic and fascinating. It is an exuberant, nervy, complex city; a city with a deep cultural tradition that is constantly reinventing itself; a city on the edge. The H is the voice of Havana's urban life, its culture, its music. The H is a window onto the city that bubbles away behind the image that has hit the world,
beyond the rum, rhythm and rumba. The H is for a new generation of global travellers who are looking for the best in entertainment, fashion and food in Havana.
The H sees the world as a seamless marketplace where people
move from one destination to the next and, in the process, explore a variety of options, both established and undiscovered.
To be launched by the fall of 2004 The H will be at the forefront of identifying shifts in a new Havana culture.

Hip-Hop on the Highway | Media mavens seeking examples of synergy, that elusive quality of corporate cross-pollination, might travel to the anonymous Bronx garage that houses the automotive operations of Funkmaster Flex. There, not far from where he grew up, the D.J. known for his Hot 97 radio show keeps his car collection and reigns over an expanding kingdom of automotive businesses.
LeBron vs. Hawks | You know your team is bad when you have to highlight the other team's rookie in order to sell tickets. Reminds me of the ads the Clippers used to run back when I was in LA -- 'come see Magic, Bird, Jordan...'
Light is a Drug | Just say no to light! This is an interesting article about the effects of light-polluted skies. The part about the stars is very true. I tripped out when I was in Hawai'i and looked up and saw tons of stars. I was like 'where did all those stars come from?'
Ballers Brawlin' | A funny story about Puffy's crew mixing it up with some Columbians in Ibiza. And all over some Brazilian model. The best part is the 'I'll make slippers out of you' quote uttered by one of the Columbians.

The New Card Shark | The NY Times takes a look at how online gaming is changing the face of real-world poker tournaments. -- While the Las Vegas hype machine focused on the rags-to-riches tale of a man who parlayed a $40 entrance fee into a huge pot, many poker players recognized that the amateur's success signaled the arrival of a new age in the game. Mr. Moneymaker may never have been in the same room as other players in a tournament of Texas Hold'em poker, but he had played extensively online, where the game is faster but the money is just as real. He was as much a rookie as Ichiro Suzuki, who joined the Seattle Mariners after nine years in the Japanese major leagues.

BBC Language Center | A multimedia, interactive site to help with learning French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, and other European languages.
F#@k! | Once the English language’s most shocking, egregious, off-limits word, it’s become just another cultural noise, thrown around with the casualness of a summer softball, appearing on your TV, on your answering machine, at a newsstand near you, from the mouth of your son, your mom, your Congressman, your philosophy professor, your dentist, your waiter, your basic innocent virgin on the street.
Killer Car Stereo | I like a good system as much as the next guy, but this is just stupid!
